I find it amazing that as soon as you tell people your saving coupons, they want to help. I told my neighbor and she said she would save her coupons for me. Another neighbor brought me my weekly paper and when she handed it to me, there was also a coupon with it that she gave me. Proof also that my neighbors talk about me, but sa la vie, I got a coupon out of the deal lol.
Today I got a book of coupons in the mail that I still have to go through. Yesterday I got my coupons in the mail from save.ca and lo and behold in the fine print it says the free item coupon can only be used on the specific day. Now I wonder, is it worth it to take the bus to the store to get something free? The bus is 2.50 a ride. I got two free item coupons for two different day one day only deals. Thats five bucks for the bus each day. In that case, I dont think it would be worth it, unless I can get the product at my nearest grocery store within walking distance, then maybe it would be.
Two good coupons I have are for the hair dye Ill soon need and a wart removal kit one which Ill be buying. so Ive already saved and I havent even gone shopping yet.

This evening, I went for coffee with some family and the conversation turned to couponing for awhile since Im so excited about it. My sis pulled out the coupons that she had been saving and said she always forgot to use them so I could have them. Wow, my stack is getting a lil bigger. Im noticing that I will have to have a filing system if Im to use them before they expire. Some are for a month and others for a few and some for six months so far, so they will all need to be organized. It might help me with organization which Ive been struggling with all my life. I just get organized and the events over whatever it may have been. Sometimes Im right on time tho and those are good days.
Its so amazing how coupons can get you so excited isnt it? The anticipation of saving the money and seeing how much you can save is kind of exhilarating , but I may just be bored or lack stimulation in my life. We shall see on my first day shopping after a plan of attack with my handful of coupons.

Canadian Grocery Store Coupon Policy
Its very important to know the coupon policy at stores where you shop. I looked up No Frills grocery store coupon policy and they accept all coupons unless altered, even on-line ones, but when I looked at Sobeys policy, there is no online coupons accepted. I would have thought that a bigger store would be with the times and accept web coupons but alas, no they dont. So here I will attempt to gather all the Canadian grocery store policy. It will be great to have them all in one place so you dont have to go searching all over tarnation for them. I see no need to recopy and paste the whole article so Ill just give the web address for you to follow. Some of them are links to sites others, like Sobey's you will need a PDF file reader.

Coupons in Canada
Recently I stumbled onto a show called, Extreme Couponing. I am now interested to see how this would work in Canada. We dont have stores that will double coupons. We dont get store credit for overages. They're called Catalinas in the states. Why dont we have such things over here? The closest we come to something like that is at Sobey's. Here is the address to sign up for club sobey's. Barring any other reason Ill be shopping there from now on. Ive signed up and now just have to wait for my kit in the mail. https://www.clubsobeys.com/Rewards/Catalogue.aspx
I looked all over the entire nation for mail order coupons and signed up for them. I picked out all the coupons that I may use or even trade. The coupons are sent to the address you registered under. Some sites only have a few and others have many. The ones which seem to have many are the manufacturers sites, for example:
Manufacturers sites
Proctor and Gamble. https://www.brandsaver.ca/en_ca/coupons/As I find other sites Ill add them here if Im allowed to edit once I publish. Hope so.
Mail Order Coupon sites

On my first day of couponing I was sitting here thinking of ways to find coupons. I went to the hall and picked up the paper I had asked them not to deliver to me but they do anyway. Im glad they didnt stop because that was the beginning of my coupon collection.
Im treating this as an experiment so as i go along ill blog about the experience. I think the next blog will be about grocery store policy on Coupons.
